History of the Zadikoff Choir
The present Zadikoff Choir is a continuation of the glorious
traditional choir which was established at the beginning of
the century by the Jewish community in Bulgaria, whose
first conductor was Mr. Moshe Zadikoff.
With the establishment of the state of Israel, most of the
Jews immigrated to Israel and choir was reestablished in
Jaffa, and reorganized by the famous conductor Mr. Isaac
Graziani.
The Choir played an important role in the development of
the musical culture in Israel, and it continues to be
recognized as a leading choir.
Recitals are held throughout the country and in the media.
We are also performing in other countries. The present
conductor is the famous Daniel Blank. The repertoire of the
choir includes popular and traditional Jewish songs in
many languages such as Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino,
English, Russian Polish, Dutch, German, Italian etc.
